Do I have to be a Genesis Health Clubs member to join the swim team?
Yes, you HAVE to be a member of Genesis Health Clubs. Swimmers and divers must be a member of Blairwood. Athletes may be on a Family or Parent/Child Membership, or they may purchase a Junior Summer Club Membership for the summer season. Membership must be paid prior to joining the Swim and Dive Team. A Junior Summer Club Membership is for kids 18 and under and runs from Memorial Day to Labor Day and is $150 + tax. To sign up for a Junior Summer Club Membership email [email protected]
Are there evaluations?
Yes, for new Blairwood swimmers only. Please check out our evaluation dates and sign up on our sign up genius here New Swimmer Evaluation.
How much does it cost?
Your fee includes 5-6 swim meets, team t-shirt, cap, trophy, and unlimited fun and friendships.
1. First Regular Swimmer: $235+ tax ($249.10)
- Practice Swimmer (swimmers practicing with Blairwood and competing in meets)
2. Additional Regular Swimmer: $145+ tax ($153.70)
- A Second, Third, Fourth Practice Swimmer from the same family (swimmers practicing with Blairwood and competing in meets)
3. First USA Swimmer: $160+ tax ($169.60)
- Non-Practice Swimmers (swimmers not practicing with Blairwood, but just competing in meets)
4. Second USA Swimmer: $110+ tax ($116.60)
- A Second, Third, Fourth Non-Practice Swimmer from the same family (swimmers not practicing with Blairwood, but just competing in meets)
5. First Diver: $175+ tax ($185.50)
- The BLAIRWOOD DIVE TEAM is for swimmers age 5+ who can swim independently.
6. Additional Diver: $110+ tax ($116.60)
- A Second, Third, Fourth Diver from the same family
7. Junior Swimmer: $175 + tax ($185.50)
- For swimmers age 4+ who are LEVEL 3/4 and learning the basics of freestyle and backstroke. New Swimmers MUST have an evaluation/tryout on one of the dates provided. The primary goal of Jr Swim Team is to master skills in the LEVEL 5/6 category to get swimmers ready to compete on the Summer Swim Team.
ADD ON DIVE OPTIONS: A combined discounted fee to do both Swim & Dive.
8. Regular Swim & Dive: $285+ tax ($302.10)
9. Additional Swimmer & Diver: $195+ tax ($206.70)
10. USA Swim & Dive: $210 + tax ($222.60)
11. Additional USA Swim & Dive: $150 + tax ($159.00)
How do I register?

When are practices?
We offer practice 5 days per week in the mornings and 3 times a week in the evening. Check out Swim Practice Times and Dive Practice Times.
When are the meets?
Swim meets are held on Monday evenings. Dive meets are held on Tuesday evenings. Check out our meet schedule here.
What are the volunteer requirements?
We rely heavily on parent involvement to support all the things we do for our kids. Volunteer sign-ups are done at the time of registration using a points system. There are a ton of jobs available with varying levels of commitment so you can sign up based on your availability. If you are unable to commit to volunteering, you may elect to pay the opt-out fee ($200 per swimmer, $400 per family) when registering. For more information on our volunteer requirements click here.
What do swimmers wear to practice?
It is recommended for girls to wear a one-piece swimsuit and boys to wear either speedo or jammer type bottoms. Goggles are required. Some swimmers wear swim caps during practice but that is a personal preference.
