Sophie swam competitively for 10 years in Sarasota, Florida. She moved to Louisville, Kentucky in 2015 to swim at the University of Louisville. During her five years with the program, she went to NCAA four times making it individually three times. She is an NCAA finalist and helped the Cardinals achieve a fourth-place finish her junior year. She has been at Blairwood now for five years, and in the director position for the last three.

Riley Hourigan - Assistant
Hi! My name is Riley Hourigan. I’ve been swimming for Blairwood since I was 4 years old and competed with Triton as well as Assumption where I was the junior and senior captain. I’m now in my fourth year coaching and I love helping kids build confidence, improve their technique, and have fun in the water. I’m currently a Lindner Business Honors student at the University of Cincinnati studying Marketing with a minor in Health and Wellness. I also teach cycle classes at the UC Rec Center. I love any type of shopping, reading, staying active, and especially trying new coffee spots. Coaching gives me a chance to combine my passion for swimming, energy for fitness, and love of working with athletes and I am excited to be back this summer.
Greg Willett - Assistant
I’ve served as an assistant coach for Blairwood for the past five years. I started swimming competitively at the age of nine. I swim for our Creek country club, Saint X high school, Triton, and Lakeside. I’m continuing my swimming career with Louisville Masters. My favorite stroke is butterfly and I really enjoy long distance freestyle like the mile. I love coaching the barracuda and I’m looking forward to another successful season.
